The National Lymphoedema Practitioners Register (NLPR) is a list of all current Lymphoedema therapists who have successfully completed approved training to practice in Australia and New Zealand.
This register is part of the Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA), therapists on this register not only have to pass approved lymphoedema training but also have to provide documentation of continued professional development courses every two years.
The national register was developed in 2010 as a register for the general public, doctors, surgeons and allied health to be able to find a practitioner that is qualified to treat lymphoedema throughout Australia and New Zealand.
With this register the Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA) aims to improve management and effective treatment standards of lymphoedema, encourage lymphoedema research and a better understanding of primary and secondary lymphoedema.
