Arm and Hand
Post Breast Cancer Arm Swelling:
Dear Teresa
This is to let you know how much you have helped me to control my lymphoedema since I started coming to you for specialised lymphatic massage treatment. I was concerned that my condition might worsen and with your help the effects have diminished noticeably and I feel confident that now I have good control.
I’m glad that I found you because it is obvious that you have studied the specialised skills required for treating lymphoedema sufferers. This means that you have a truly professional approach and understanding to give your patients confidence that they are receiving the very best of care.
Yours sincerely

Post Breast Cancer Arm and Hand Swelling:
Teresa
I have to say that I am so pleased I was referred to you via a friend back in 2008,
Being diagnosed with Breast cancer back in 2006 and having 17 of my lymph nodes removed was always going to put me in the high risk category for lymphoedema. Of course falling down the stairs and fracturing my hand elevated this.
Your skill and ability to treat my Lymphoedema has been great and I do believe that your treatment has assisted in the level of reduction to my arm. I tried other suggested treatments prior to coming to your clinic, but these did not seem to work for me, I was at a very low point with the pain and incapacitation of my arm, when a friend referred me to you, I have found the best results with your methods of drainage and massage.
Your treatment has been great and you managed to significantly reduce the swelling and discomfort after a few focused and dedicated months, now 3 years later I only visit you every 3 months for maintenance treatment.
I was always going to be a challenge for you to try and maintain my arm as I kept doing many physical activities, and still do, which is a testament alone to your treatment.
When I come for treatments at your clinic you are professional and knowledgeable in what you do but you make me feel like I am sitting having a coffee with a friend.
Again thank you Teresa

Swelling Post Breast Cancer:
It is now close to two years that you are treating me for lymphoedema of the arm after breast cancer and I wish to acknowledge the benefits I have gained from the lymphoedema massages sessions with you at the Movement clinic.
I first came to the Movement Clinic with a very swollen arm. We saw very quick results after a few monthly sessions. We were then able to space the sessions and I now require massage only every three months.
Teresa , you are not only a very skilled massage therapist, but also a delightful person, making the full experience enjoyable. I would with no hesitation recommend your services to anybody in need of a therapeutic massage.

Swelling Post Breast Cancer:
Dear Teresa,
I would like to personally thank you for the care and attention that you have always given me when I come to see you for my lymphoedema manual lymphatic drainage. The relief that I receive after lymphatic drainage allows me to restfully sleep and go about my day to day life without discomfort.
I recommend anyone to you because of your professionalism and experience in this specialised field. I respect the fact that you are highly motivated to assist and to help other people who require your services.
I wish to convey my sincere gratitude for the service you have provided to me at your point cook clinic and to ensure my quality of life is improved after I recovered from my breast cancer. Once again thank you very much.

Chronic Venous Insufficiency:
Teresa,
I want to thank you so much for all your help over the last couple of months.
I am grateful to you for your expertise, skills and wisdom that I have had the privilege of experiencing, since starting Lymphatic drainage with you.
When I came to my first session with you, I had persistent pain, and it was there, whether I was sitting, standing, or trying to walk. It was the same at night, or if I was in bed during the day. I could hardly move due to the immense “heaviness” and pain in my legs, particularly upper thighs.
I was taking 6 pain killers a day. I had been telling my G.P for months/years that I was having mobility problems and the pain I was in.. He said I had to lose weight (which I do). The muscle pain was also made worse by extensive Vitamin D deficiency. I have also since discovered (from the doctor at the Lymphodoema clinic that the medication I was on for high blood pressure was adding to the oedema, so this has now been changed.)
So, as you can see, I was very distressed by the situation I found myself in, with no solutions or way forward.” My mobility at every level was severely restricted and restricting what I could do every day. I found even basic household tasks almost beyond my abilities. This included shopping for groceries etc, driving and housework.
It was suggested by my daughter overseas, that I search for a Vodder trained therapist or physiotherapist and I found your details on the Lymphoedema Professionals List.
I am so grateful to you, because you gave me back my life. Even after the first treatment, I could actually get into my car more easily and then for nearly a week, I could walk better. I need more treatment with your special skills.
After my second treatment a week later, I tried stopping the pain killers and found the pain manageable without the medication. I could sleep at night and even started to turn over in bed, which I could not previously do. I could start doing household chores again without the pain and I could actually walk around the house as needed.
With your advice, my treatments are now further apart and the effects lasting longer with exercising in a warm pool. I am not taking any pain killers and as I keep slowly increasing my mobility, I am getting more confidence to keep walking. I am back to being able to manage my day, which I could not do previous to your involvement. It seems that thank you is not enough to express my gratitude to you, as for the past 3-4 years I have not received any help from the medical profession to help me in this awful decline in physical ability to keep mobile.
I am writing this to encourage other people in the same boat as I was in, to seek your highly valued wisdom, expertise, knowledge and experience to also help them become mobile again, so that they can keep leading a meaningful life.
Thanks you so much.

Fibrosis Graft V’s Host:
Thanks Teresa,
For all your support over the year in helping to alleviate some of the fibrotic symptoms connected to my Graft Versus Host Disease, associated with Leukemia and a Bone Marrow transplant in 2005.
When I suggested to my Hematologist that manual lymphatic drainage therapy may help keep my legs supple and mobile, he seemed optimistic that the therapy may help alongside my on-going drug program.
Although I cannot say that the therapy alone has improved the condition, my feet have remained reasonably flexible with your lymphatic drainage exercise program; and I’m certain your theory that flexible feet would assist muscles in my legs to work better has been sound thinking.
Best Wishes,
J.W. – Brunswick
Primary Lymphoedema Legs:
Teresa transformed my feet!
I was diagnosed with Lymphoedema just over two years ago having suffered with swollen feet for twenty eight years. Teresa was recommended to me and after only the very first session of her expert lymphatic drainage I found that my shoes were suddenly too big for my feet! They had not looked ‘normal’ like that for years.
I began treatments with her a few times a month and now only require them every two to three months. Teresa is knowledgeable, very professional and understanding.
Thank you Teresa for your care and concern; I appreciate it very much.

Post Cancer Leg Swelling:
It is two years this month (March) since I found out I had secondary lymphoedema in my right leg, due to cancer, surgery, removal of lymph nodes and radiation. At that time my leg was very heavy, hard and swollen. It was suggested to me at that I might benefit from having manual lymphatic drainage and was given the name of The Movement Clinic in St Kilda Rd.
At the start of treatments with you I was having lymphatic drainage every week for about 6 weeks then it reduced to once every two weeks, now two years on I only need to see you once every 3 to 4 months or when I feel my leg is getting a bit heavy. Well what can I say!
I am so happy with the results, I now feel absolutely full of life I am happy to walk more and wear skirts (before lymphatic drainage I only wore pants) even my surgeon keeps telling me that my leg looks great and to keep up the treatments. The swelling is down and my leg is now soft. Along with wearing my compression panty hose and exercise I am having great results. I am a firm believer in that you have nothing to loose but a lot to gain by giving this treatment a go.

Secondary Lymphoedema Leg:
I have secondary Lymphoedema, extending from my left ankle to my thigh, resulting from a fall 10 years ago. During my working day I stand a lot of the time, and have seen my left leg become swollen, hard and heavy. In fact I would often need to lift my calf with my hands in order to put stockings on and would wear only slacks to hide my “ugly” calf. Feeling quite downhearted and in desperation, I came to Teresa’s clinic.
Teresa began focussing on my leg in 2009, and slowly with her gentle effective massage, and encouraging words, both my leg and spirit lifted. After each treatment my leg was much lighter, the taut skin much softer, and the calf visibly thinner. At first I would come once a week for a treatment and then at Teresa’s recommendation, the treatments were spaced further apart. Slowly and surely Teresa got the swelling under control.
It is now 2 years later, my calf is much softer and less swollen. I only have maintenance treatments and am delighted to say that I even wear dresses and skirts some of the time.
Thank you Teresa
